- Ngữ điệu là sự lên hay xuống giọng của người nói, rất quan trọng trong giao tiếp
- Người nói thường sử dụng ngữ điệu giảm xuống ở cuối những câu khẳng định, giao tiếp sự chắc chắn và dứt khoát.
- Người nói thường sử dụng ngữ điệu tăng ở cuối những câu hỏi đảo ( yes - no question), thể hiện sự không chắc chắn hay nghi hoặc.
